AT DISCOVER CHIROPRACTIC
We have taken great care to provide you with an Austin chiropractic office that is peaceful, welcoming, and impeccably designed. We want to gift you with an experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and encouraged each time you visit us.
YOUR FIRST CHIROPRACTIC VISIT
Upon entering our chiropractic office, you can expect to be greeted warmly by our caring receptionist. We will request that you complete our patient forms which will help us to learn more about you. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
You can also find the forms in the New Patient Center to print and fill out ahead of time.
Next, you will have a consultation with our chiropractor, Dr. Clark, to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial chiropractic visit is designed for Dr. Clark to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Clark will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests may be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our chiropractic office without your consent.
If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays are frequently used in chiropractic examinations because they allow the chiropractor to assess the position of the vertebra and the health of the spine. They alert us of any serious spinal conditions and can also shed light on the duration of such issues. With this information, X-rays help our chiropractor develop the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
SECOND VISIT TO OUR CHIROPRACTOR
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, our chiropractor will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- What will my chiropractic treatment cost?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Clark will tell you exactly how we can help and give you his best recommendations for care. Dr. Clark will provide the best treatment and wellness plan for your needs.
If you are in pain, or recovering from an injury, your personalized wellness plan may incorporate treatment outside of our chiropractic office. This may include ice or heat application instructions and certain activities or positions to avoid. In some situations, we may give you exercises and stretches to expedite your body’s healing process. Every person is unique; therefore, everyone requires a customized treatment plan. The purpose of our chiropractic wellness program is for you to achieve proper spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
At the conclusion of your report of findings, you can choose to experience your first chiropractic adjustment.
A TYPICAL VISIT At OUR CHIROPRACTIC OFFICE
After these two initial visits to establish your chiropractic needs and your treatment plan, typical visits should take about 10 minutes. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment at any time.
We do our best to accommodate your schedule and keep our chiropractic appointments running on time. Our goal is to make you more comfortable and not add stress to your busy life.
To make long-lasting improvements to your physical health, we will not only work to alleviate symptoms but to gently and repeatedly correct your body’s alignment. Once you begin to heal, your visits may decrease in frequency.
You will find that the effects of your chiropractic visits are cumulative, each visit enhancing the one before it. We encourage you to follow the recommendations of your treatment plan to receive the maximum benefit from chiropractic care. Once you have completed your treatment plan, routine chiropractic adjustments can help solidify the positive changes that have been made, prevent the recurrence of physical problems, and keep your body functioning better than it was before. We want you to feel better than ever and to be able to live life to the fullest.
